ANNUAL PASTA PARTY

CURRENT PROJECTS FOR 2020 USING GRANT MONIES
BECKLEY LIFE MEMBER CLUB
The Beckley Life Member Grant Project has always been for the Lady Veterans at our Beckley Veteran’s Hospital. When checking the number needed this year and asking about other possible needs, a surprise project was found. Operation Diaper Bag, an ongoing project at the VA that had not had recent support during the pandemic. Five diaper bags with baby supplies were needed and we felt strongly we could help.
CHARLESTON LIFE MEMBER CLUB
The Charleston Life Member Club provided masks, lotions and snacks to Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston nurses and staff.
Also our Lending Library that was installed outside the South Charleston office is getting a lot of use and is being well maintained by volunteers.
These are before pictures of the backpack program that Charleston Pioneers are doing for the Foster Closet. The Foster Closet works with DHHR to assist children that are removed from the home and placed in foster care. Most of them leave with just a trash bag holding what few belongings they can gather before they leave. We will be providing backpacks to carry their things in. It will include school supplies, stuffed animals, books, socks, hand sanitizer and hygiene kits.…
The Huntington Life Member Club also worked with the Charleston Life Member Club the backpack program for the Foster Closet.
HUNTINGTON LIFE MEMBER CLUB
The Huntington Life Member Club worked with the Charleston Life Member Club in merging the two museums into one in Charleston.
PARKERSBURG LIFE MEMBER CLUB

WHEELING LIFE MEMBER CLUB
Wheeling Life Member Club furnished 100 back packs to Ritchie Elementary School. Principal John Jorden was ecstatic to receive them. Wheeling LMC is a “Partners in Education” with Ritchie
Elementary.
INTERNATIONAL SPORTS JAMBOREE
This is what the International Sports Jamboree in WV has been up to during the pandemic. T-shirts were made for the participants from last years’ Jamboree and mailed to them with a USA themed mask and a CD from another year of the Jamboree.
