Charleston Life Member Club
Feeds Spina-Bifida Campers in June Each Year
..Celebration of Pioneer Spirit and Gratitude
The New Vision Pioneers of the Charleston Life Member Club provide a cook-out complete with hotdogs, hamburgers and all the fixings, on the Thursday of the week long camp. In turn, volunteers are provided with a talent show immediately following the picnic, so there is lots of love going around. We could always use your help.
“Race for the Ribbon” – 2019 – Breast Cancer Awareness
Pioneers volunteer by folding T-Shirts for the race and also handing out water and working at the finish line.
Charleston Life Member Club Lending Library
We change the contents of the lending library often. Not only do we offer books, sometimes we put canned soup and other food items as well.
International Sports Jamboree
Sports Competition for the Physically Challenged. Recreation for youths between the ages of 8 to 40 who are mobility challenged or are visually challenged can be fun and easy to do. We’ve been providing recreation for the disabled and showing others how to do it for 39 years. The International Sports Jamboree for the Disabled is held annually on the third weekend in July. The Sports Jamboree is host to kids from West Virginia, other Verizon states and Canada. If you are interested in volunteering, have a youth that would like to attend or maybe sponsoring a participant please contact Diana Buzzard at 304 965-1779 or by email at diabuz@frontier.com
